Versatile Measuring Instruments (VMI) Launches Seismic Qualification Service

Versatile Measuring Instruments Inc. (www.versatilemeasuring.com), a division of Amidyne Group announced the launch of the new seismic service today.  The key features of the table are:

• 3ft x 3ft tri-axial t-slotted shaker with 10,000 lb capacity
• 10-inch stroke actuators
• Capacity to operate with ZPA of up to 18 g
• Frequencies of up to 200Hz
• Extendable table for larger items

Most nuclear safety-related components require seismic qualification prior to installation. Company President Charles Johnson says:

Amidyne Group forms strategic alliance with California-based Ronan

Ronan Engineering Company of Woodland California (Ronan.com) announced today that they will be teaming up with the Versatile Measuring Instruments division of the Amidyne Group to market their products to the CANDU nuclear market in Canada and internationally.

Ronan, founded in 1959, is an international manufacturer of instrumentation used in the power generation, oil and gas, steel, mining and food processing industries. For decades, Ronan has supplied instrumentation including Annunciators and Sequence of Events Monitors to nuclear power plants in North America and internationally.

Versatile Measuring Instruments Inc.
